“When I think about that day when I was diagnosed with throat cancer and the doctor told me that I would never sing again; I singer harder and louder now because I know…that I know…that I know…my God is a Healer. I pray continually that God continues to anoint me to sing songs to let His people know if He can heal me, He can heal them”.

When asked about the message she hopes to convey through each cut on Emmanuel Live, Evangelist Smith says she wants to be able to reach out to God’s people with songs of encouragement. “There are all types of songs that make you laugh, cry, make you angry, violent, loving, caring, but gospel music gives you a feeling of liberation, it offers peace of mind even when you are going through a difficult situation making that obstacle you face not seem as large.”
