He was born in Collierville, Tennessee and grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. This is where he received his vocal music training and development. From grade school to high school, he has always performed in plays, choirs, and special ensemble/groups. While in high school, he performed in the West Tennessee Choir and also recorded in the All State Tennessee Choir. He was given a superior voice rating from the University Of Memphis while in high school. Along with singing and performing in high school activities, John was very active in the church choir. He was a lead singer, backup singer, and choir director. He was also very active in other church activities. He was ordained as a junior deacon at an early age.
John later joined the U. S. Air Force and spent 9 years active duty. While in the Air Force, he expanded his musical knowledge and participated in many Air Force Talent Contests and performed in a number of Air Force base and community bands. He was given the opportunity to travel the world and perform in a number of Air Force shows and local clubs.
After spending time in the Air Force and graduating from St. Leo University, John returned to Tennessee and later moved to Texas. With his experience and musical knowledge, John continued to sing in the church, work in the church, and give God the praises for blessing him with the talent to sing. In 1987, he was ordained as a deacon. As John’s job moved him from Texas to Michigan, Tennessee, and back to Texas, he would always participate in church activities, church choirs, city mass choirs, and special event choirs. He performed as lead singer and also backup to a number of choirs. His performances also included recordings with some of the choirs.
With the ability to lead, interpret, and arrange songs, God has blessed John to share his musical talent with the world.
